Predicting Or Influencing Your Baby’s Sex Or Gender Through Food

by Admin on November 13, 2009

I often write about all aspects of choosing your baby’s gender.  There are actually several things that you can do to accomplish this. However, one of the variables that I get the most questions about are foods or diets to influence baby gender.  People want to know the science or reasoning behind this, which foods will give them a boy or a girl, and if this is enough to guarantee that they will get the gender that they want. I’ll address these concerns in the following article.

Why PH Figures Into The Gender Equation: Before I go into the specific foods or diets, I’d like to explain why this is even important.  A man’s sperm has two chromosomes: X (girl) and Y (boy).  Even though these chromosomes are coming from the same man, they behave quite differently.  X or girl sperm is quite long lived and long lasting.  It takes a lot to shake them and they welcome any environment without any trouble. This can be good news or an advantage if you want a girl.

But, if you want a boy, you need to know that these little Y’s are very unstable and vulnerable when they hit your vaginal tract.  And, if your PH is high, they may have a problem surviving long enough to make it to the egg.  So, if a son is your goal you’ll want a low PH and you’ll want to eat alkaline foods. The opposite is true if you want a daughter.  In that case, you’ll go with acidic foods.

Why You Can Do Better Than Flying Blind: Don’t go into this process guessing.  You can know exactly where you are starting if you obtain some PH testers that you can get on the net or in a nutrition center.  This will show you if you’re starting out acidic or alkaline. And, as you begin the diet and trying new things, you can regularly check your progress so that you will know quickly if either you get off track or have found something that is working well.

Alkaline And Acidic Food Categories: Hopefully by now, you’ve been able to determine which foods (alkaline or acidic) you need to turn your attention towards.  Now, I’ll give you some basic guidelines on which foods fall into which category.  There are lists available that are much more specific than I can possibly give you here.

In general alkaline or low PH foods are those that are the most healthy for you.  This includes most (but not all) fruits and vegetables. (Corn and blueberries are excluded from this list.) Low PH foods most often excludes dairy, wheat, carbs, fats, and meats.

In terms of acidic foods, you’re given a lot more leeway because you’re allowed most meats, fats, grains, wheat and pastas, coffee, dairy and nuts.  (There are more processed and convenience foods in this category.) There are some acidic vegetables, but most are beans.

Considering Douching As Well: If you’re plugging along with the diet and you aren’t happy with the speed of your results, you may want to consider adding in douching.  Often, you’ll be presently surprised at how much this can speed your results.  I know that this process can conjure up some old fashioned pre conceived notions, but we’re not talking old fashioned vinegar and water and / or baking soda.  We can now concoct formulas based on the reading that you are getting.  And, you really can stop when you’re reading is as high and or low as you need it to be and is also stable.

Considering Timing Also: Food and diet is a great start and sometimes you’ll get lucky and get the results you want by only this method.  But, there are other free, and easy things that you can do to help increase your odds.  Timing can also be a factor because if you conceive too long before the egg is ready, the Y’s may already be gone on the best day for conception.  So for a boy conception, you want to wait until the exact day that this happens.  But for a girl, you can begin three to four days before.

Again, there’s a tool to make this easier.  Any urine or saliva ovulation predictor can more than adequately do the job.

I’ve put together a few websites that take a lot of the guess work out of choosing your baby’s gender. You’ll find step by step instructions, resources for douche recipes and food PH lists, information on when to conceive, tips, support, and examples of ovulation predictors / PH testing strips.

If you would also like a fool-proof method to getting the baby gender you want, I highly recommend picking up the book called How To Choose The Gender Of Your Baby. There have been 12,000 couples who have tried these methods with success!
